Bland County Public Library Chooses TLC
The Library Corporation is pleased to announce that Bland County Public Library has chosen the Library•Solution® integrated library system to provide premier automation services for its staff and patrons. Bland County joins the TLC family of more than 4,500 libraries worldwide.
Bland County will be going live with Library•Solution’s integrated cataloging and database management software and services at the end of this month. The system will be hosted by TLC on a secured server that offers 24/7 access to library employees and customers.
The decision to go with TLC for their system was led by Library Director, Ms. Cameron Burton. “Our transition to TLC has been seamless. Not only has the entire team been professional but, they have also been incredibly kind. It is easy to see why TLC has such loyal customers. I couldn’t be more pleased.” Bland County Public Library recently became an independent library after a unanimous vote by the Bland County Library Board. Although the decision was fiscally based, their independence will allow more local control over programs and services.
Bland County Public Library is transitioning to Library•Solution from an Innovative Interfaces, Inc.® ILS that has been in use since 2005 through the Smyth-Bland Regional Library System. TLC’s software will enable patrons to place holds, pay fines, download eBooks, and more from home or at the library located at 697 Main Street in Bland, VA.
TLC has operated continuously and under the same ownership since 1974, providing premier automation and cataloging services to more than 4,500 public, school, academic, and special libraries worldwide. The company is certified by the U.S. General Services Administration, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, and the Women Owned Small Business Federal Contracting Program. TLC is based in Inwood, W.Va., and has additional offices in Denver, Minnesota, Singapore, and Ontario, Canada. To learn more, visit TLCdelivers.com.
