La Porte County Public Library selects Library•Solution

The Library Corporation is pleased to announce La Porte County Public Library has selected LibrarySolution as their next-generation library management platform.

Headquartered in La Porte, Indiana, LPCPL services over 45,000 borrowers via seven physical locations and a mobile library.  LPCPL also works with four local schools, providing cataloging and delivery services to these schools. LPCPL also partners w/other local schools and provides delivery services to students/teachers along with curriculum services 3 or 4 times per year, if needed.

TLC’s HostedSolution will be utilized to host LPCPL’s data which includes over 246,000 titles, 277,000 items and will be expected to process over 110,000 annual transactions.

LPCPL is not only utilizing hosting services in addition to TLC’s award-winning LibrarySolution library management platform but will be using the optional OverDrive integration into LibrarySolution’s discovery layer, LS2 PAC. OverDrive integration allows borrowers to check out, place holds, and view their eResources inside LS2 PAC.

“TLC was highly recommended by their other customers in Indiana”, stated Fonda Owens, LPCPL’s director.  “We selected TLC because it was important that we chose a vendor that gets what we are doing and supports the School-Public Library Collaboration. We wanted a team that we could work with to make this collaboration successful.”  TLC’s LibrarySolution is the library management platform for Muncie, Indiana Public Library and Schools partnership and TLC’s CarlX platform is the management solution for Nashville, Tennessee Public Library and Schools partnership.

“TLC has always seen our customers as collaborators,” stated founder and CEO, Annette Murphy. “Our strengths have always been rooted in our sense of collaboration, not just with our customers but also with our product partners.  To see our new customers also have a sense of collaboration to bring their own ‘best of breed’ service to both public library patrons and students is wonderful to see.
