Now Using Library•Solution: Organization of Watauga Libraries Join TLC
The Library Corporation (TLC) welcomes the Organization of Watauga Libraries (OWL) with the recent implementation of Library•Solution. TLC completed the migration services from the SirsiDynix integrated library system for the multi-library organization.
“We are so excited to provide our OWL users with TLC,” shared Julia Turpin, Library Director for Johnson City Public Library and OWL President. “Migrating to this new system means that both our patrons and staff will have a better online experience of their library, which is more important than ever. TLC’s forward-thinking and intuitive ILS, as well as its mobile-friendly design, make the process of navigating patron accounts and browsing the catalog more seamless for everyone involved.”
Patrons will appreciate enriched PAC services via Syndetics Unbound. OWL catalogers will have ITS•MARC, TLC’s subscription service for bibliographic and authority records. Meanwhile, acquisitions staff can access the one-stop-shop database of leading library vendors with Online Selection & Acquisitions (OSA).
In addition to the integrated library system and support services provided by TLC, the OWL database is hosted with TLC•Cloud Services, underpinned by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Annette Murphy, CEO, welcomed the library system to the TLC family, “We are pleased to offer a modern and streamlined catalog to the Organization of Watauga Libraries, and we look forward to supporting the libraries for many years to come.”
Extending across 17 locations in the northeast corner of Tennessee, OWL serves Carter, Greene, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington counties. The library system provides approximately 400,000 titles and about 780,000 items to over 200,000 cardholders in the community.
