FEATURED SERIES CORNER
Magic Bone is a series I stumbled across on my library’s shelves and I think I am really going to like it.  The first book in the series, Be Careful What You Sniff For, starts out with Sparky, a sheepdog puppy, digging up a magic bone!  When Sparky chomps on that bone he is taken on a trip to London!  In the second book, Catch That Wave, his magic bone takes him to Hawaii. To see all of the places he goes, you’ll just have to check out the series.  Nancy Krulik, the author, also wrote George Brown, Class Clown.  I am sure you will enjoy a few laughs with this series.

NEWS FLASH
PBS Kids recently announced the debut of a new animated series, Pinkalicious & Peterrific, coming out February 19, 2018.  The series is about the adventures of Pinkalicious and her brother Peter along with their neighborhood friends.  Each episode will include two stories and an original song with 38 half-hour episodes and one hour-long special scheduled.

For all of the I Survived…fans who prefer to listen to a story instead of reading, you can now get audiobooks for each title in the series.  Check your library shelves for these recently released MP3 editions

Did you know there is a Did you know? website just for kids with lots of information about stuff you need to know. This site also has puzzle games and things to color using your keyboard. There are animal videos, too! Check out this website. You’ll be surprised at all of the things you didn’t know.

MY FAVORITE THINGS
Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime is my favorite time of the year.  I usually go to Camp Raga-Mutt for a week where I always meet new friends and see some old friends.  We go swimming in the lake and take long walks in the woods.  Are you going to camp anywhere this summer?  There are camps out there for whatever you are interested in: Swimming, Football, Robotics, Rock Climbing, Theater, and more!  This website will help you see what camps are available in your area: www.kidscamps.com.
